B-52 wheel color

Can someone help me wih the wheel colors on a SAC silver and and a SAC -SEA wheel colors I have a couple of older Mongram B-52Ds and I’m doing one of each I have looked in my books but sitll can not get a good picture. Thanks J

Given that the underside is black, I’m SWAG-ing that this BUFF is painted in SE Asia (T.O. 1-1-4?) camo…

Testor’s Model Master Steel (or plain ol’ Silver with a little black mixed in) would be my choice of paint… Dunno why there’d be any other color on a SAC Anti-Nuke finish…

Look at around 7:09 here from Bombers B-52:

The video is pretty dark, but it looks like silver lacquer or something similar.

There’s also a clip on YouTube from A Gathering of Eagles–the scene with an emergency landing.

Huh… In the Gathering of Eagles clip, they’re white with a metallic hub looks like… Who’da thunk it?

Guess you can go silve with the SE Asia and White with SAC…

B -52 wheels were originally silver. At some later date, I am not sure just when, they started painting them white. A lot of the hubs were painted in bright colors, red, blue, green, etc for different squadrons.
