man that was awsmome
Had me rivited to the screen for the whole thing - awesome!
Wow ! Thanks for posting.
Yes I have seen that one before. It was unbelievable!
I used to fly R/C sailplanes and I could imagine what that B-52 must have cost. [:0]

That is an amazing machine. Those engines are around $3,000 each. If he actually has 8 of them that’s about $24k just for engines!
Bob Violett Models sells a lot of kits that use them. An F-4 Phantom is 80 to 85" long, has a 57" wing span, and flies at 45 to 190 mph. They have a very cool web site and I could drool over it for hours. www.bvmjets.com
How do they transport that thing around? It would take a pretty big truck.
neat!!
whoa…nice nice nice. Makes me wanna try one…If I was a millionaire
Fly it!!! [swg]

From what I read, the engines were “provided” by Wren Turbines [ check out the quote from their news page ]. Actually, thinking about it now, that could either mean they were free or just means that the engines powering it are from their company.
Regardless, it is really amazing.
I would imagine the wings are removable as they are on large sailplanes.
That or it has it’s own hangar. [(-D]

If you think that was something, i know a guy who used to be an engineer working on the ill-fated Avro Arrow back in the 50’s. he still has his own blueprints, and used em to make an RC with 2 jet engines, propelling it to speeds in excess of 200mph. amazing that he can fly it at all…
that is awesome. looking at the inflight footage i would have debated whether it was a model or not.

I want one!
Now that was cool.Tiny turbines. Wow.
[8D]that was way cool thanks for the link!
We had a scale RC show here in Albuquerque last weekend, and a couple of guys brought their B-17’s up from Texas. I never did get to see them fly, but they were beautiful scale models! Everyone who saw them said it was just awe inspring. I’d estimate they were close to 10’ across the wings. I did get to hear them fire up all four engines on one of them, and it was, indeed, an unbelievable sound!

Hi Guys,
I got to see them start this thing out on the website that the builders had. Unfortunately when my old hard drive took a nose dive I lost the link. Thanks for this one, I always wondered if they got it completed. The last I saw they had the wings completed and the fuselage was under construction.
