B-25 WIP

Hi Everyone,

This is my on-going 1/48 Italeri B-25 build. I’ve just finished the engines and laid down some paint on the airframe. I’m trying for a faded OD green…I’m happy with it so far.

Last pic is the bare bones of my display base for this project. The airframe that I am building was based in the Phillipines so I am attempting to recreate the scene of a bomber parked up in the sunshine. I’ve just put on the first two layers of groundwork on and added two palm tree trunks. Next, I will add some more texture and start painting the base. Lots more to do, so watch this space.[;)]

Here’s some pics…

Lookin’ good there Darren. The faded green looks nice.

You’ve certainly captured the faded look, Darren.

I can’t wait to see the magic you work with one of my favorite planes in your hands.

Looks good so far Darren.

Regards, Rick

You have one heck of a good start on the Mitchell. Keep us posted on progress.

Outstanding work my friend! You are going to have a heck of a time trying to top that base you put the Seafire on. I can’t wait to see it! [:P]

Thanks fella’s[tup]

Glad to hear you recon the green is OK, the base will take a while-hopefully it will look “right” when I’m done.

Great looking work there- that is gonna be a sweet looking bird!

Props on the engines! Excellent detail. Curious if you added anything or just out of the box on the engine detail. [:)]

Thanks guys. The engines are straight out of the box-I think they are about the best I’ve found in a kit.
