I am currently building Revell’s 1/48 scale B-1B Lancer. In my effort to add more detail to teh model and make it unique, I have already positioned the PE rudder pedals as if they were pushing the rudder right (even though no one’s probably gonna notice it), and so I want the rudder to be turned slightly to the right also. However, I can not find any good reference photos showing the hinges for the rudder while it is in a turned position. Does anyone have any good photos or diagrams so I can do this? thx
I couldn’t find any pic’s of a B-1’s tail section that wasn’t from a thousand feet away.
The rudder on the B-1 is split, on the kit it’s the trailing edge sections above and below the horizontal stab fairing. They don’t deflect very much from center without power so don’t move them too much. The actuators are faired so from any distance you wouldn’t see them, so just cut the the rudders loose enough to turn them slightly and that should do it. Good Building!
I know this isn’t that great of a shot, but I hope it helps you out some.
Also, only turn the upper half of the rudder, not the rudder thats below the stabs. That rudder was controled by the flight computer.

thx a lot for the replys, and my apoligies for taking so long to respond. I’ll go ahead and do as suggested. I’ll also make sure I post some photos when it’s done (maybe in a month or so).
Is it accurate to have a rudder sideways? I may want to do that on my bird…
