I was wondering if anyone would recommend this airbrush. Micromark has it for $160 US right now. I really need to get an airbrush, because I am stuck with spray paint, and I can’t get the colors I want. If not this, what is another good double action airbrush you would recommend, up to $250. i want to use it for camo shcemes and just plain ol’ painting. I have a Sears Compressor, that goes up to 200 PSI, and as low as 5 PSI. It is practically industrial grade. Does the kit include the proper hookup, or where could I find it.
$160 for an AZTEK??? Not when I can get an Omni 4000 for about $80 or an Iwata for about $120. I had no idea Azteks were that expensive. I’ve never owned one but based on the general consensus around here regarding those airbrushes do yourself a favor and look around a bit before you but one. Go to www.dixieart.com or www.bearair.com and look at the Badgers and Iwatas.
Your compressor will have a 1/4" NPT thread on the outlet. Some airbrush hoses have this type fitting and others don’t. If it doesn’t then you will need to get an adapter for the hose to fit the compressor.
Do not get an aztek, they are not a good airbrush. They seem like they’re a good idea, but they’re really not. For the money, you could get something much much better. Look at the paasche, badgers and iwatas at DixieArt. You’ll be much happier trust me.

Thnks guys. I’m looking at the Iawata HiLine AB’s, and what are the different versions, like they have the HP-A and HP-B, what is the difference?
Go with the Omni 4000, you won’t be dissapointed, unlike if you bought the Aztek[;)]
I bought mine from bearair, and had it shipped to the UK, even theb it cost well under £160!!!

the high-line’s hp-ah bh are the same except for cup size. the ch has a larger needle/nozzle and cup
I second the Omni (Me and Karl should buy shares in Badger!!!). It’s an all around winner. Sprays from near hairwidth to about 2 inches. It’s tough and affordable. Take done in less then 2 minutes and very very easy to clean. Shoots all mediums.

Jeff, I tried buying shares, but they’re all owned by some guy called Mike!
