i got an aztec 470 for xmas as a giftand after 6 or 7 times using it its leaking air real bad inside and leaking by the trigger, and no more air is coming out of the front…im upset cause i did really like it when it worked properly but it was a gift from my brother who no longer has the store receipt…can i send it back to testors/aztec to get it returned, or whats the deal with that…do any of you guys know…i dont like my brother knowing he wasted $100+.
I think aztec has lifetime warranty on some of the parts. not sure of that, someone else will know for sure.
try www.testors.com I think they may have some info for ya. My Aztek went out last week also…I just chalked it up as a loss and went for an Omni.
go with kik36 my friend. see if you can get your (or your brother’s) $100+ bucks back and buy yourself a decent brush like the omni 4000 or 5000. i have the 5000 and love it. no problems with the quality so far.
Call Testors up and ask for an RMA #. They have very good service and will send you a replacement after you get the RMA# and return the broken airbrush back to them. If it works great for you then keep using it. The internal air leak seems to be a problem with these airbrushes. I had one replaced last year. I got a couple of new airbrushes last month, but there’s no need to shell out more money if it works fine with you. Just get it replaced under warranty.
just so you guys know, i called testors and talked to a nice woman in customer service, i just send the body back with a small note and ill get a replacement in a couple weeks, they will just send me a new one, thats really considerate of them.
From what Ive heard Testors has great service concerning the Aztek…You should get your new body soon with no hassles.
what if the nozzles are broken after 1 use?
Then sell it on Ebay and buy an Omni. [:D][;)]

i would thing the reason why aztec has such great customer service is because if they didn’t everyone would buy iwata t&c or badger lol
You should see Badger’s customer service. First rate! [tup]

I had a 470 go bad not to long ago and they replaced it no questions asked. I just needed to get the RMA for it. Very nice to know that lifetime guarantee really worked out ok.
Nozzle broken after one use? Try to claim a defective part LOL.
Doh! How’d that bust so fast?
i used the one that came w/ the set, i used it with black, olive drab, and white paint, and then i did as the instructions told me: soak it in water. so i did that, and the next day, it stopped working. it wont even spray water any more
