Are there any alternitives to the airfix kit? Just how bad is the Airfix? And last, what is included with the Flight Path Products aftermarket set?
What I can tell you about the Airfix kit is the thing has terrible engine nozzles. From everything else I see in the box it does not appear too bad and the few I have seen completed were all very nice but did require some work to achieve that nice result. Check http://www.hyperscale.com and do a search for the Vulcan.
MPC used to make a Vulcan many years ago, though I have heard the Airfix kit is simply a reboxing of it. I don’t know if that’s true, but Airfix did get at least some of the MPC molds after MPC went belly up, so it could be true.
I have heard that the MPC kit was not bad, but then my experience with MPC kits was never that good.
