I have now picked up the Revell (Frog Novo) kit and it seems much like the Whitley - but the rivets are amazing. Not only on the full side would tjhey protrude 3-4 inches above the surface - they are incredibly sharp - you can use the wing as a cheese grater!!! I have always liked the shape of this a/c - has anyone found any horrendous problems???
Having worked on this model, I noted the following:
It is very difficult to get enough weight into the nose, as it’s all exposed. Try some around the wheelwell too. The best match for the interior colour I found was (and I’m working from memory here) is Humbrol ‘linen’. Other than that, Airwaves do a PE kits for this model.
I have seen some models of this aircraft beautifully finished, and some which are best not mentioned
Thank you Osher - another UK colleague - yes I wondered about the nose weight - perhaps a bag of helium in the tail??? I intend to visit Duxford as thay have one there 0 the interior is a rather surprising colour?
Ooops, I was thinking of another aircraft! Sorry, I meant Humbrol 41 Ivory. Apologies if I caused you problems with this.
