Twice I’ve seen reference to Apoxie Sculpt, but when I check their web site I see several different products. Can someone that’s been using it for model seam filler tell me which product you are using? Namely is it one part, or two part type? Thanks in advance. Patrick
aves apoxie sculpt is a 2 part epoxy resin. Yes it is used in modeling, but not for simple seam filling. I would suggest squadron green putty or Tamiya filler. Apoxie sculpt can be used for larger seams or larger abnormalities. It is water soluble and is workable for 2-3 hours after mixing and is sand able in 24 hours. I use it on the seams that I get in 1/8 horror figures. I have even made parts that were broken or missing by shaping and sanding the stuff. It is like milliput if you have heard of that. Squadron putty is 1 part lacquer based and easily spreadable and sands well.
Thanks, 66 - I’ve used about all of the hobby fillers over the years, Tamiya is my fave so far. I called Aves on the 800 line, when I related what I would use it for, the lady said their “Fixit Paste” is best for seam filling, etc. One part, water soluble, shelf life 2-3 years.
Her description: Dries rock hard, no shrinkage, sand-able and file-able, thin with water if needed. I ordered a one ounce tube, US $8.00. I’ll post results when I’ve had the chance to use it. What I have disliked about most of the hobby fillers is the shrinkage and age cracking. Hopefully this will work well. Thanks again.

Great! let us know. I’ve never heard of fixit paste. If it works I may try it.
