The windows are from Authentic Airliners Decals, and are a joy to work with. They are agile, not too thin, and are opaque, so as not to require white behind them. The model itself is from Authentic Airliners, which is a kit, but certainly NOT like the kits we are all used to. Solid resin, with resin parts, and metal main gear. The fuselage and wings are in one piece, with the other parts requiring some assembly. Putting it together requires epoxy and careful handling. It is a challenge in its own right, a “boutique” type of model, but a very rewarding finish. Take a look at the link below for decals and models at AA:
The L-1011 is (was) indeed a very beatiful airliner…and so is the MD-11! I chose this MD-11 because she had a special livery at Delta Air Lines…the stripe on the #2 engine was unique to this airplane, and to my knowledge did not appear on any other MD-11 in the fleet.
