IAM LOOKING FOR 2 AURORA Model KITS! ONE OF THE CONVAIR B36 PEACEMAKER and the other B29 If anyone has these kits and wants to sell them contact me Rich at rich7575@aol.com. My dad flew these and i want to give them to him for his Birthday in April. He has altimers and its beginning to go downhill fast so i need these ASAP. I want to give them to him while he still rememebers flying those planes! GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU!!
Rich,
You can go cheaper and quicker by getting the acadamy or Monogram issues
of those airplanes and those kits are more accurate. The B-29 is issued in 1/72nd
(academy and Airfix) and 1/48th (Monogram) and the B-36 is 1/72nd (Monogram).
You can get them almost anywhere, they are in squadrons listings now, If you are
near a Hobby Lobby the B-36 is in there now.

Yah iam near a hobby lobby I was there last night the one in SPringfield I didnt see a B36 there??? Where r u from?? By the way Hobby Lobby is where i got the Rockwell B1 for my son we have been working on it since Christmass evening painting getting it together real nice we are half done and found out it was missing a whole tree of parts and Hobby Lobby has not done a thing about replacing the model I have even wrote there home office so u know anywhere else>>???
Rich,
For your parts problem call/write the maker(?Monogram). The store can’t help
you. I’m in N.Al. with 3 HLs near. Since they just had a 50% off sale there may be
a while before they restock . I hope you have the FSM article on the Bone that Paul
Boyer did last year (?) He nailed it his was 1/72nd but most of what he did would
apply to the 1/48th kit.
BTW, the Aurora kits you were/are looking for are collector kits with
a Big premium to the point you wouldn’t want to build !
Good Hunting,
G.W.
Rich, you can also go to their website and request the replacement parts … http://www.revell-monogram.com/home.html

Two other mail order sources of models are: www.Squadron.com and www.GreatModels. com . Both are well stocked, give good service and have a good reputation. Best wishes with your father medical difficulties.
