Attention limey modelers !

Where are the model shops in london ? Been to modelzone at Holborn , any others ? Not pleased with there accessory and paint options ! And can you buy model master paints here ? Used them back home and though they were amazing , but only humbrol and tamiya paints seem to be available ?

Thanks !

Legion, you might want to try The Aviation Hobby shop in West Drayton. It’s about 3 miles from Heathrow, and easily reached from the M4, or by train from Paddington. Well worth a visit.

Also, you might want to try Hannants shop at the address below:

157-159 Colindale Avenue, London, NW9 5HR, (Tel: 020 8 205 6697)

Haven’t been there myself, but if it is anything like their web site, definitely worth a call.

you should have seen Modelzone before it was taken over!!! Hannants is the place to go. Lots of stuff you will not find anywhere else. Knowledgeable staff, when they stop gossiping among themselves! Take the Northern Line to Collindale, zone 4. The shop is just outside on the right hand side. Go early as it will take you half the day just looking through their Decal sheets.

Where in darkest East london are you? I’m from Walthamstow, which is about as dark as you can get. Over here in Warsaw i’m overloaded with model shops and every paint you can think of.Plus all the photoetch!!!

Lolok, lets face it. In Warsaw you’ve got enough of the real stuff still lying about!!!

Karl

very true. The Polish Army museum is a goldmine for tank and AFV fans. Now they are building a new one in an old fort to show all the german and russian armour they have have had in storage. plus some aircraft. Lots of Migs and such at local airfields. nobody wants them. As you know Poland is buying F16’s to replace all Russian aircraft.

In leyton at the moment . Used to live in walthamstowe , know what you mean ! Could be worse , hackney’s just down the road ! [}:)]

Watch it or you will be getting a visit from Phil Mitchell( wasgoinonthen)

or East 17 (a boy band of the 90s)

you should check out Hannants there are good

I don’t what’s scarier, a visit from Phil Mitchell. or Brian Harvey.

Chances are one would be drunk, and other stoned, and that would no help in model shop!
