Nice, but isn’t the airspeed indicator on the dash the wrong colour?
Seriously, what a great build, that takes some steady handwork!
Stunning in any scale.
You are mad though…
Karl
Excellent work, especially in 1/144. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Rick
Nice work on the itty bitty Wildcat. The color scheme is very striking.

I’m still trying to figure out how you get the date to change on that giant penny.[;)]
'nother great 1/144 build.
Nice is this a 2008 build?
The base looks out of scale
[:o)]
Beautiful lil’ Wildcat mstanley, thanks for sharing! [tup]
Now we know where Wing Nuts Giant penny disappeared to. What is it about 1/144 scale that makes people want to super detail them?
Well aparently WingNuts giant penny was not lost in the mail. I know where it is now, hey WingNut dont cash that giant check.[:-^]
Your Wildcat looks great ![#toast] This Giant Penny thing is really catching on.
One advantage to these teensee, weensee planes. The builders don’t go through very much paint and putty.
now the disadvantage is price. Why is it that the cost of some of these are about the same as a 1/48 scale kit?
I think thje prices are actually pretty good. I bought 4 Sweet kits (a total of 8 aircraft) from hlj.com for a total of $38, including shipping. Also, as one other poster remarked they sure don’t take much paint! [:)]
Great looking wildcat. I want to try some of the Sweet kits.
AND GIVE ME BACK MY PENNY!!![;)]
And Dave don’t worry… your check is folded neatly and in the garage. Of course I had to putthe car in the street…
That’s one sweet build[;)]
Another disadvantage is the “Carpet Monster”! One gulp and and you lose the whole plane![BH]

Thats why I don’t have thick carpet. Ya know whats worse than Carpet Monsters is Monster Spiders. Up here in Michigan we get them to where they are almost a foot wide.
Looks great! Here is my Trumpy 1/32 scale Wildcat
Not to mention some good eyes and perhaps a good pair of diopters![tup]
