This is one of the larger subjects I’ve tried to tackle so there’s a lot more going on with the interior than subjects I have experience with. I’m at the point of getting ready to cement the fuselage together and wanted to know the best way to tackle this step. Is it better to glue in and let set, the interior sections before attempting to glue the fuselage halves? or is it best to do all of it at once before the glue sets?
The B-17G model has some very solid mounting points for all of the interior sections and things don’t move around much. With the six or seven that I’ve built, I have always glued the interior assemblies into place and allowed them to set up before closing up the fuselage. Never had a problem as along as I was careful to keep it all level.
I agree. I have built up a number of them as well and I always glue in the interior and then moved on to the fuselage.
