Asking big favor--need instructions

I respectfully request a big favor.

I am entering a show next Saturday (2/28) and I’m taking 2 kits that are built OOB. According to the IPMS rules, in order to qualify for an OOB trophy, the instructions have to be included with the kit entry, and I have managed to deep six the instructions I had.[:(] (Yes, I’m a dummy!)

I need instructions for the Italeri Puma and the DML M270(?) mechanical mule with the 106mm Recoilless Rifle.

If anyone has instructions and don’t mind scanning/e-mailing or faxing, it would be appreciated. BTW, copies are allowed…

Thank you so much.[:I]

Good luck Gip. We expect plenty of pictures from the competition.

Shoot me a message with your fax number and I’ll send a copy to you. I do believe my Puma instructions are the Testors/Italeri kit, but it should work just as well since it is the same kit.

BTW, I do have both kits.

Good luck at the IPMS show Gip.

Good luck!!!

Let us know it goes.

Sorry I can’t help you out on the instructions, Gip [8)]

I do however, wish you the best of luck. Your builds always look fantastic!

gl with the competition.
Try to get some pics. it’d b amazing to see your entries

Best o’ luck, Gip!

Good Luck!

Gip, I scanned and e-mailed the Puma and Mule instructions via my AOL e-mail address.

Good luck Gip.[;)]

hey rob, you must have quite a stash of instructions there!! you were the guy who sent me instructions when I needed some.

Good Luck, Gip.

Wow. Thanks for all the great responses and encouragement. I am humbled.

Major Rob, I got your e-mails. Everything came through fine. You da’ man!

Depending on how things go, and if I can find someone to host some pics, (and figure out how to do it), maybe I’ll try to post some of them on this site.

BTW, my 10-year old son is entering his first contest, too. He’s built and painted the German V-1 (Fieseler) 1/48 Tamiya kit, and it looks fabulous. Tonight we wash and decal. I’ll try to throw up some pics of his kit, too.

Also, if you would, keep him in your prayers. He was just diagnosed with mono, has missed about 4 weeks of school, and now has a bad cold on top of everything else. I’m really hoping he’ll feel up to going next weekend. (No, he hasn’t been kissing any girls!)

Thanks again, everyone.

Best of luck, Gip, to both of you. How exciting to have your son enter his first contest.I hope and pray he feels better very soon. (I did the mono thing when I was about 13 or 14, and I hadn’t been kissing any girls either!

Let us know how it all works out.

Good luck Gip and son! For your son, Gip, done and done. Amen.

Best of Luck to both You and your son. I will keep you son in my prayers. I had mono in of all places a nuclear sub. I caught it on my first patrol, late in the patrol as in we had been out to sea for about 45 days by then and had about 30 more to go. I deffinately wasn’t kissing any girls and deffinately not kissing guys so how I got it is still a mystery. It was the 15 most misrable days of my life.

Good luck to both of you!
Hopefully I can get off from work that weekend so I can head up to see the show as well. It would be nice to meet both of you.

Regards, Dan

Good luck to both of you Gip. Remeber, despite the outcome, it is a great bonding opportunity for you and your son as well as a great “idea hunt” and a chance to compare notes with other builders. For such a lone wolf and individual or private thing as model building is for most, we are a gregarious group when we get together at shows. Look forward to pics.

Oh and just for the record, I had mono too. And I got it from kissing a girl (or girls). It sucked royaly, but ya know… [;)]

I’ll be thinking of you and your son Gip. He’ll be fine in no time. Take care and good luck to you both.
