Im thinking this could be a good and fun idea. I am a sucker for artillery, so depending on how many responses i get on it id like to start one.
Guidlines: It has to be built by the end of 2005. It starts Now!
-SPG can be built
-AAA can be built
-Towed Guns can be built
-Emplaced Artillary is okay too
-Mortars can be built
-it does not have to be either indirect or direct fire, both can be built.
P.S. - Thanks for the badge John This is what we will use
P.S.S.- You can build TWO or More if you are crazy enough!
Hey, count me in too! I’m gonna start building Tamiya’s 1/35 7.5 cm PAK40/L46 sometime this month or next. Man I hope you get more replies to this post!
Hi I would like to join this group if possible. I forget the official name for it but I was thinking about building the big german Bertha railway gun. Please let me know if this is ok. Thanks. [:D]
Im working on the AFV Club seFH-18. Man, that kit is really starting to get on my nerves. Th plastic is rather brittle and there is alot of flash for a new kit. I spend most of my time cleaning and sanding. It isnt that I mind doing this, but even the smallest pieces have a seam line or flash, and the part alignment isnt the best in the world. AHHH.
Ok, now that Ive vented my frustration, I’ll take a break and get back to it. I feel alot better now.
I sent before a e mail to join me with a 88 mm flakwagon but don’t know where is.
but yes i wish to be in.
the end date is not clear but dec 05 is good.
A couple of in progress pics of my howitzer. It is the AFV Club le FH-18. Not a bad build, I vented some frustraton on this kit befre on this thread. After that, the build went pretty staight forward. Ive painted it Dark yellow and am going to start the finishing process later this weekend.
that gun Really looks like good, its a post wwii gun right?
this is an advace of my 88 mm flakwagon based on tiger railcar from tank workshop and 88 mm from tamiya.
panzer67: yes, the 155mm M-198 Howitzer is currently in service with the Australian Army. The kit is all resin, made by a small company known as Aussie Armour, basically a ‘back-yard’ company specializing in (surprise surprise!) Australian Army vehicles and conversions. The kit is reasonably expensive, RRP $128.00AUD (about $100US) it’s worth every cent!! Great detail on the surface and a very comprehensive kit too! I can’t wait to get stuck into the weathering!
As for you gun, it’s looking tops! Keep it up!
Cheers,
John
