Arnhem WIP Pt.III

Hello all,

this time I have managed to paint and gloss the Horch and I have begun to assemble some of the figures. I figured I made some mistakes along the way as some of them have needed a fair amount of filler on some of the joints. The white figures are from Resicast, to my mind ,excellent figures even if they are a little on the small side. The grey ones are from the Dragon “Red Devils” box and the yellow ones are from Verlinden. I am enjoying experimenting with these!

I also re-sprayed the lamp post in the weathered grey-green colour, I like how it came out-what do you chaps think?

Here are some more pics…

What kind of resistance are these men going to be up against if any at all. Also what company is the Horch from?

Alex

Hi Hellcat,

my idea is portray these men underfire from the enemy who, due to the arrangement of the dio are “out of shot” So this street scene is effectively a snapshot scene.

As for the Horch, it is an Italieri kit. I still have to research my markings for it to make it a car that would have been at Arnhem.

Man that is AWESOME!!! one question though, did you buy the buildings?, if so where did you get them?? or did you build them?, if so what did you use?

Jim

Thank you!

The building and base are from a UK company called Great North Roads, it all came in the same box and is a great set piece for dio’s.

Looking very very nice Tango! The figures are in some cool spots, I like the sense of action going on so far [tup]

Thank you very much Chris! [tup]

I have been afraid to ask? Did this project fair well and survive after the recent attack on your Secret Workshop by the Mad Max Mutants? [B)]

[tup]looks good!

Wow… Looks like you got MG Urquhart in that house…

[#ditto]

I really like what you are doing with the building… destruction, rubble, and interior look great. I like the wallpaper tearing away, and the wood work you’ve done. A little early to tell with the figs, but they are gonna look good, I’m sure.

Looking forward to more.

Many thanks to all of you for your kind words, as Aaron said my workshop has taken a real beating during the winter storms here. So for the last couple of months my workshop has been undergoing a complete re-furb.

The dio is still intact and I plan to re-commence work when I am back at the bench within the next month or two. See you then![;)]
