Just a bit off base, but it’s good to see some Army vets (and current soldiers) that are in to scale models!
I’ll be going away from the enlisted side to OCS soon, so I’ll have to put my hobbies on hold =)

Thank you CeleryGod.
Good luck at OCS.

It is great to have them involved. They bring experience and knowledge of the real vehicles to the forums with them that a good number of us just don’t have.
Good luck at OCS. Just remeber, when you put on those khakis, don’t forget what it was like to be a grunt down below. Without them, there’s no reason for commissions…

All I can say is Good Luck, and I hope that you get your butterbar without too much suffering
Good luck at OCS. Take care of the people that work
for you. Hope you make 1st LT. asap , butterbars have it
rough at times.

Thanks for the tip of the hat to those of us who have served our country, and a tip of the hat back to those like you who now are. I hope you achieve all you desire in service to the Great USA soon.

Good luck and THANKS for your service! When I joined the NCO ranks, at our ceremony, a two-star general was the speaker and told his audience that every NCO sould have a butterbar working for him/her. I nurtured a couple on their way up and hope I left a lasting impression. I always wondered about you guys in the Army… Where the heck do ya plug in an airbrush/compressor in a foxhole???[:D][;)][:p]
Hey Bubbamoosecat,
to answer your question, give any army guy a roll of ductape and they will build the compressor from scracth… (couldn’t resist myself into bringing Ductape to this topic :-))
Good luck at OCS, and remember what it was like to be a grunt. You’ll be a better officer for it.
Hey, Pat, a better question would be “:where do you put the bayonet on that thing?” - Ed

Don’t forget the 550 cord with that duct tape, its almost as useful. As for the question on how we carry a compressor and airbrush, thats what we have grunts for
Good luck to everyone in the forces. hope to meet some of you in person one day.
Wondering how to keep the sand off my wet paint?
Good luck at OCS and thanks for your service.
