I build aircraft and wanted to do something different so I am working on a 1/35 Tamiya jeep. I bought a equipment set to spruce it up and was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how to paint the tent rolls and equipment bags and such. This type of detail work is new ground for me but I am really enjoying it. Thanks in adavnace for any suggestions.

One word: “feathering” - drybrush to lighten raised areas, darken recesses. Base color would be OD, khaki green, or middlestone.
I beam pretty much nailed it. Do your base color, wash with a darker color( wash is a very thin mixture of color and thinner) after that’s dry, dry brush a lighter color on the raised detail.I know this is an abgieviated text but practice makes perfect!!!
