Just wondering if there was any established forum etiquette for resurrecting a WIP thread I last updated over 8 months ago. I started a WIP of an early/mid 70’s M60A1 with an M-9 dozer blade. Almost all the threads here I’ve seen here seem to roll along at a good pace. I’ve finally got a chance to get back to my bench but don’t want to restart something stale

As far as I know there are no rules about resurrecting an older WIP. Like G said, just update the title and let us see what you’ve been working on!
Considering that it is the same kit and it sounds like you have not yet finished it, but have been sharing your progress with us, go for it. It would not be stale at all, more of a refresher.
Especially since it’s YOUR thread, reanimate that thing as you see fit!

Like the others, I don’t see anything wrong with resurrecting your old WIP thread and updating it.
The main time I dislike seeing ancient threads being resurrected is normally by new visitors to the forum. They stumbled across a half-decade-old thread and answer it like it was asked 20 minutes ago. Often times they point out an “error” in an earlier post that wasn’t an error 5 years ago. Like if someone asked what the best M1A1 kit was in 2002 and you answered the Tamiya one, but now the newbie is saying the new Dragon one is the best. Well, no duh, it is now, but it didn’t exist when the question was originally asked and answered.
Nothing ever truly dies on the forum so since it’s 1) your own thread and 2) a continuation of the progress even with a long interval, you are more than justified in reviving it with an update. Anyone searching for that type of thing will still see it all in one place instead of split up in two or more places. It’s better for consistency and integrity to keep the WIP updates all in one thread IMHO. Go for it! [Y]
