Arii 1/48 aircraft

Ok guys, I have a question for you. I have a handfull of Arri 1/48 kits, and I love the amount of detail you get, especially for the price. But the thng I don’t understand is that on the box, it shows sometimes 2, ans usually 3 different aircraft. They even have color printout inside the box to show the various markings. But on the decal sheet, it only gives you one set of markings, for the aircraft that’s on the box art. Is this normal? Or am I just having horrible luck with these kits and getting ones that have been mispackaged or have been sniped for their decals?? Thanks guys!

Can’t say for the Arii releases, but when I used to get them as Otaki kits (same packaging, same artwork) back in the '70s & '80s, they typically had decal options for all 3 illustrated a/c.

Good illustration here.

Yes, usually the ARII kits that I have come with at least two of the three decal options shown, but not always. The FW-190 did not. It may just depend upon the kit.

Well poop. Out of the 5 Arii kits I have, only one of them came with all three options, and they were COMPLETELY roached (Ki-44.) But then when I opened up my Spitfire Mk. VIII, it came with a brand new aeromaster set, so I guess you lose some and you win some.

Brand new Aeromaster set?! The gods must be pleased with you!

Yup, brand spankin’ new. Spitfires at war part 1. Actually has the aircraft that already came in the box stock, an Austrailian ship. So now I won’t have to worry about messing with 20-25 year old decals. Worked out pretty well I suppose.

I would say that yes it did.
