I was wondering if there are kits available or coming of the new F-16 with that big spine-thing and those special top fueltanks.
I forget what block we are at with the F16 atm.
I believe thats a block 50 or 52 in the F-16 range.
I don’t think there is currently a kit with all that you’re looking for, But I seem to recall Italeri releasing a wide spine F-16D in 1/48 and Hasegawa doing the same in 1/72 shortly after Israel took delivery of the first wide spine ones.
I don’t know how accurate the kits are, and I know they don’t come with the conformal fuel tanks you are looking for, but they may be a good starting point for you. I don’t know if any aftermarket companies make CFTs but looking at them I don’t think they could be particularly difficult to scratchbuild if you had to.
Personally, I think it won’t be long at all before you see a kit with all that you’re looking for. I think the Greeks already use that style of F-16, I know that Poland will be taking them on shortly. So there’s no reason for a company not to make a kit with all those bells and whistles.
I suspect Revell Germany or Italeri will likely be first out of the gate with a kit of one, wouldn’t surprize me if it happened sometime this year.
Isracast makes a conversion set with conformal fuel tanks. It’s for the israeli version, but could be used for others.
