I’ve read a lot of good things about these transfers, but I am still too dumb to figure out if they are waterslide decals or rub-on deals.
If they are rub-on, how do you get them to shimmy into places? Is there a potential for disaster when trying to rub them on to an irregular surface? Do they lay well on zimmerit, going into all the busy little ribs?
Larry, they are rub on transferes but thinner than a “decal” is like cheap kits have.
On flat surfaces they are super easy to lay on, over zimmerit you would have to work them down into the grooves with a small object and I think I’ve heard of people using decal setting solution for them in cases like that??? I could be wrong though. For going over small detail it shouldn’t be hard to get them pressed around the raised stuff or into a seam or something. I’ve only used them once and it was flat but I did like them.
Most of them are rub ons. To get to irregular areas I use the rub ons on decal sheet. Then apply them as you would a regular decal. Make sure that you seal the transfer if you use a inkjet prionter to make the decal first before you soak in water. The transfers will smear if you don’t.
