Arabic skin tones

I as this question in the figure forum but got no response. I was hoping someone here could maybe help.

Modelers, I’m somewhat of a newbie when it comes to painting figures. Therefore, I was using this gentlemen’s methods fo painting a figues face using the same paints he has suggested. http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2001/12/stuff_eng_tech_paint_faces.htm

However, in my case, my figures will be Iraqi and therefore will have a different skin tone than this article. I was orginally just going to add some brown to the 50/50 mixture of thinner and Warm Skin Tone he suggests in step 2, but I thought I’d ask here first. Any suggestions on accomplishing this?

Mate, I’m in just the right place to help you! Arabic skin tones range pretty much the same part of the spectrum here, as they do where you are, up to and including arabs with ginger hair! So really you could include almost anything. Having said that, sometimes in modelling you have to make things obvious, so, instead of starting with the warm skin tone, I’d start with a base of light sand, and either lighten or darken from there.
