APOLOGISE,SINCERELY,I DO

HE.HE.

HI,Ya,ll

! Now , I really do apologise . I didn,t really think my grammar and punctuation were that attrocious.I do get excited when speaking about modeling and ,kind of ,lose my way grammaticaly.

I will admit though,it,s been years since I had to type anything. So,big mistakes get made. To those of you who find my posts gibberish,I do apologise.

To those of you who have stood by my side ,thank you. I don,t really do a good job with grammar ,punctuation, etc.never have.I learned english years ago as a third language and english was only spoken outside the home.

Now,over the years I have wondered about this dislexia thing.Could it be possible I am ?

Back then, the word dyslexia wasn,t known except in very small circles of academia and in the linguistic educators domain. So,please accept my sincere apology.

I just enjoy writing and, sharing things and information about these miniature thingys(is that even a word ?) that I build for myself and others.I think the world of models is a place wher wars are won and imaginations can run wild if that,s what the builder wants.

Now that I have said that I will go for now, and, thank you all for putting up with me,bad grammar and all. TANKER-builder P.S. Let,s all calm down and enjoy these forums, please ? AND, let,s not get upset like I do ,when someone says in print - miniature models !

Hey, you’re alright man! Good post. Ya done good![:D]

It’s OK, I can’t do math…

TB: Sometimes it takes more than one reading but I don’t have much of a problem understanding your posts. And there is nothing to apologize for, if people have issues with your posts they don’t have to read them. And that’s all I’m going to say.

Maybe i don’t pay enough attention on this site. But i am not sure what has brought all this up. I saw your other thread TB and just decided to stay out as i have nothing to add.

If people don’t understand what your trying to say, they have two choices. Ask for clarity, in a nice way. Or move along. You have nothing to say sorry for.

Dre, more than 2 unstarted kits makes a stash. Thats all the maths we need.

I must be a genius then… thanks for the chuckle!

With that sort of math… hang on… 7, 5, carry the 2…

It looks like I have about 50 stashes - how’d that happen??? [:$]

I’ve not been following this grammar ( two tries at that word ) thing, sounds like some one does

not have enough kits to keep them busy. The worlds not perfect and neither ( grab the dictionary )

are we.

There’s a story on another web sight about pleasing your self I do not think I can pass it on here

with out getting yelled at or band . My builds might not get the best reviews from some but I’m happy

with them and what matters in life is what your happy with.

No apologies need for being your self. On the subject of being your self, for some thats good advice

for others thats the worst advice they could be given.

I haven’t see any problems with guys around here instigating the structure of a line or two of sentances. Is there an english teacher here to teach simple comma rules the “Fanboys” (for, and, nor, but,or,yet,so). Just be the best modelers you are guys! I can figure what your explaining to me… Happy Holidays…

Most of these posts are composed on computers, and I would venture a guess, most of those computers have either WordPerfect or Microsoft Word. Both these programs have spell and gramar checkers built it to point out where spelling errors are and to let you know when at least some grammatical errors are happening. If one has difficulties with writing, he could very easily type his posts in the word processor, make the corrections then copy and paste to this (or any other forum.) If you’re working from an iPhone, Nook, or other device, this might not be as easy or possible.

After I bowed out of the previous thread on this subject, I had to smile. Someone mentioned learning to type on an Underwood. My parents met while working at an Underwood factory.

that’s pretty cool

did you ever get to type on one?,after learning on an electric, I was around a guy that had an Underwood,it turned out that just getting the same pressure with a “pinky letter” as an index finger letter was an acquired skill,I don’t think I ever got that correct, if I remember clearly

if you didn’t get an even pressure, your letters varied all over the place in gray/black on the page

I was very glad to get back to my “thumper” (the IBM Selectric 2, with that round ball),you could type faster than it sometimes, and sit back and watch it finish with your hands clear of the keyboard

TB, there are all kinds of levels of dyslexia, and there are all kinds of other learning disabilities. The only way to find out is to get screened, and I would not put any stock in “free” online tests.

The plus side is that if you are diagnosed with LD’s, it will go a long way to help you understand your own capabilities and learning “styles”. This in turn is often a life changer in terms of managing frustration and depression.

The downside is that it takes time and money. but if you are interested, call your local community college and see what they have to offer. It could change your life.

I’m not aware of a correlation between LD’s and modeling skills, although it would be my suspicion that the one has a negative effect on the other.

hey bish

2 kits really that means i have 8 stashes on the shelf queen storage unit. did get a bunch done with the GB but, of course, also started new ones.

TB

no apologies are necessary. i am a bit of a grammar and punctuation kind of guy but overlook obvious fat finger typos and most “rational” misspelled words. i think proper grammar and spelling are important but, at my age, it doesn’t really bother me. many will note i rarely use CAPs. goes back to the book AIRPORT and it is a quirk of mine. i had a teacher in high school who knew how important grammar and punctuation were but didn’t like teaching them. he was able to compress all the important grammar into a couple of classes at the beginning of the semester.

HA, Tankerbuilder Don’t fret it, we all know based on some instruction sheets we all get, we can interpet anything!!

Tankerbuilder, I don’t give a fig for grammar and spelling, I understand what you say and enjoy following your post as many, many other forum users do too! Don’t sweat it sweetie… keep calm and carry on!!
