Sometime back, I started a thread with a discussion of how to mix a decent olive drab color. Basically, I used 4 diffent shades of Tamiya greens on this, but the result was way too dark. So I got a brainstorm and lightly postshaded it with Tamiya yellow green, which lightened it up nicely and got the color I was shooting for. This is a Hasegawa kit. Comments are welcome.
I rather like it, do you have any more pics. What scale is this kit, and are those Greek markings on the side.
Bish, yes, it’s the Greek insignia. I added a couple more pix to the message above.
I didn’t know the Greeks had this and for a second i thoguht it mght be a British roundel.

It looks spectacular! I too am building a Apache, I just hope it comes out half as good as yours!

P.S. Love the color scheme.
It looks pretty good, but has some issues. First off, it is an AH-64D. There is no such thing as an AH-64A/D. They are two different versions. The D has larger side sponsons and can have the radar donut on top of the rotor mast. A models have smaller side sponsons and can not mount the radar donut.
Also, the paint effect may look good, but OD Green is not the right color for modern (since the early to mid-'80s) US Army helicopters, as the Greek version was painted from the factory. The correct color is called US Helo Drab Green and is available from Testors Model Master in both acrylic and enamel. The enamel color looks more like a faded, used color, while the acrylic one looks more like a new color.
On the left is the enamel one, and the right is the acrylic; both on 1/35 Academy UH-60 Black Hawks.
Here is a Greek AH-64D (w/o radar donut) in Helo Drab Green.
Lastly, the figure looks like a Navy figure with a Naval helmet/headphones on. Maybe it is correct for a Greek groundscrewman, but he looks off to me.
