Anyone use Easy water by woodland scenics?

Anyone use this easy water stuff from woodland scenics? I have a pre made Verlinden diorama base that I want to use this on.

I used it several years ago to simulate a river on an N-scale model rairoad. It worked well, but began to crack after a couple of years. The cracking was probably to thermal contraction, expansion of the plywood base, as I covered about a 4 foot by 6 inch area. Should be OK on a small diorama base.
