Anyone ordered from greatmodels.com before?

[?]Hi fellas, I just saw a great deal on a kit that I have been drooling over at my LHS for months but haven’t purchased because it’s a little steep- www.greatmodels.com has it a great price. Has anyone here ever ordered from them and was it a pleasant experience?

i love greatmodels. ive had nothing but great experiences. just make sure what you want is in stock, or youre gonna have to wait awhile.

I purchased some decal sets fom them before… Seemed a little slow to ship, but other than that, no problems…

Yeah, I just got DML 1/48 Ju-188E a week ago. No prob. Have another order pending.

Many times…good outfit. Just check the item description to see if it’s in stock. Otherwise the wait may be long so I try Squadron or Roll Models.

I’m pretty lucky to have the warehouse not ten blocks from my house now. I’ve been in several times and it’s an amazing place! At any rate, their service and quality of product has always been as good as any I’ve found in other local shops to be sure. Very helpful, and usually very prompt with orders and communication.

Give them a shot.

I try & buy most of my supplies & kits from the LHS, but I have ordered from Great Models a few times & experienced no problems.

Ive never had a problem ordering from GMW, if it was in stock I recieved it within a week to 10 days, not bad considering Im the other side of the pond.

I have had excellent luck with them, even when they shipped and billed me for someone else’s order. The only advice I would give you is watch “special order” items. They can take a long time.

Yeah, it’s HUGE. What they do is that if you have an order placed already, you can go and pick it up in person on Fridays. They let you peruse their shelves etc. and if you find something else you’d like, you just take it back up with you to check out and they’ll add it for ya.

Great bunch of folks though, and with very few exceptions, all extremely nice and efficient to deal with.

Placed my first order with them today…if this thread is still hanging around when it gets here I’ll let you know how long it took.

I order from them all the time and have never had a bad experience.

As others have said, check to see if the item is in stock otherwise you are in for a long wait.
