Anyone make any (affordable!) 1/35th scale sIG 33/2 kits?

I love the 38(t) platform, and apparently during WW2, Germany made all kinds of SP guns on the chassis.

How many were ever made into 1/35 (or so, 1/48 is acceptable) model kits?

Dragon makes an OOP 15cm Sturm infantriegeschutze 33, also a 15cm sIG 33/1 Ausf SF 38 Bison & Grille. These are the only ones that I know that contain that gun. The first vehicle was on a Panzer III hull, the Bison on a 38(t) M hull and the Grille was on the 38(t) H hull.

I have the 15 cm Sturm Infantriegeschutze, picked it up in a hobby shop in Makati, the Philippines, of all places for the princely sum of $20. No idea when I’ll get around to building it! [:)]

Steve,

I’ve been to, probably, the same hobby shop there in Makati City, it had a great selection and cheap prices…when I flew back to the states I was 0.5kg under the max baggage limit. [:D]

As far as kits go that mount the SiG33 gun, there are several…Alan has a 1/35 of the Bison I and Grille M, Kirin/Dragon put one out long ago of the Grille H, and DML has one of the Sturmpanzer III. I’ve built the Alan Grille M and have the others in the stash for some future date. TMD makes some nice resin interiors/upgrades for the Grille kits.
