I registered months ago so I could post on the forum. I logged in but could not post. Emailed somebody about it but it came back undeliverable. Said screw it at the time but I really wish I could post over there.
To this day I’m still logged in but cannot post. I don’t have “permission”.[%-)]
I’m not familiar with the website. Post the link here and I’ll try to check it out for you.
Also, some sites require that you respond to an email that they send to you after you register. You must follow through with the instructions in that email in order to be fully registered. Interesting though, that you say you are “logged in” but can’t access the perks of the system.
I registered a few weeks ago and after I got my confirmation email I was only allowed to post to their General forums for the first few post. Now I can post in them all and I’ve made about 10 or so. Pretty good forum, just not near the traffic as over here but that could be due to just one subject I guess.
HKshooter - You may have to re-register. I know it sucks if you had already gotten a username that you like, and if you re-register you won’t be able to use that name again. I’ve done that a few times on forums that I visit infrequently. I think the problem is that you may not have responded to the confirmation email, and kg4kpg has confirmed that that is the process. It could also be that your email provider spammed the confirmation email and you didn’t notice it, or, you can try to search back through your old (or unread) email for it, but there’s a good chance that your email storage has timed out. At any rate, it’s worth a look. You also might try emailing the forum administrator and see if they can help you out.
Ok, after all the input from you guys and poking around some on the site I found out I could post in the general discussion forums. I guess you have to be initiated or something. I never checked it out because I’ve only wanted to post in the member build forums. Oh, well. I guess I’ll get approval from the grand poohbahs eventually.
The reason for the restrictions is to weed out spammers and hopefully those idiots that like to interfere with everyone elses life. I have been a member there for a long time and have found that there are some of the friendiest and most helpful guys you will ever get to chat with.
