Anyone have pics of these P-47s?

Hi guys!

I have a set of Cartograph decals for a variety of P-47s BUT I have no instructions/diagrams for them. I’ve been trying to find images on the 'net but with no luck. Maybe someone here can help me out?

One P-47 carries the name “Wham Bam” on the side and the tail numbers appear to be 420535. The fuselage code is G9W.

Another P-47 is titled “Little Joe” with the numbers 433425 on the tail. The fuselage code is G9O.

The third P-47 is titled “Jinx” with the tail numbers 420535. The fuselage code is G9W.

I can find text about the pilots and whatnot but no graphics of the planes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Eric

Eric;

G9 would be the code for the 509th FS, 405th FG

I did find a “Little Joe” with another squadron.

P-47D “Little Joe” 73rd Fighter Squadron, 318th Fighter Group. Flown by Lt. Joe Cecci.

There was also a “Wham Bam” with the 352nd FS, 353rd FG, 8AF, 42-75530, SX-N, flown by Lt. Robert A. Newman. It was shot down on 16th March 1944 with its pilot.

Was it “Jerry’s Jinx” or just “Jinx”? There was a 'Jerry Jinx II" as well. Does any of this help?

I’m not always the sharpest tool in the shed. I forgot I can upload pictures. LOL! This might help. I scanned in the images of the markings in question.

Mike, thanks for getting back to me. The “Little Joe” I have on the sheet seems to be piloted by a “Lt. J.J. O’Neil” with the nickname “Illinois Wrangler” written below it. There are also two dice shown on the sheet which I can only assume was part of the artwork on the cowl.

As for the Jinx one, I did find pics on the internet of “Jerry’s Jinx II” but I don’t think this is the same one. If my 42 year old eyes are right, I think it says “Lt. ‘Bob’ Whitehead” in tiny little script on the sheet.
