Does anyone have any good photos of the paint job on Gabby Gabreski’s last P-47D?
I need some good reference photos of it for the model I am ready to paint.
Any links to photos would be great too although I haven’t seen any yet.

Here’s a few. They were taken at different times but all show 42-26418. The first shot shows full invasion stripes and the rest look to show partials. Sorry for the poor quality on some of these…
The color reproduction in this next shot ain’t too hot, but you can pull some useful details out of it…
I’d offer some comments on some of these images but I’m pressed for time at the moment! I’d also look to see if I have more… actually I know I do but, again, time is a commodity at the moment. Hopefully I can peruse the library tonight and make some scans.
