You are not alone… same thing happened to me 1-2 year ago and I learned that Airfix was bought by another company. I can’t remember the name of the company now. I contacted the new company via email to see if they can send me the instructions for the 1/32 WW2 German Infantry that didn’t come with I bought via eBay. They replied my email finally but they were pretty clueless and asked repeatedly for the product number which I provided even along with a picture of the kit box itself.
