Anyone got and extra (yeah, I know, no such thing LOL).........

…Aurora Cessna 310 kit? It was in the civilian planes series with the Beech Super 18 and the Piper Apache. I had one of the $.79 kits WAAAY back when Sky King was on every Saturday and wanted to build a Songbird replica but I didn’t have the expertise for the paint job. Now after over three decades of handlettering both real and model race cars I’d like to have another crack at it. Just how expensive and hard to get would it be? Or is there any other alternative out there? I’d prefer something larger than the small Aurora kit if there’s anythink out there. Sky’s newer plane was a 310-B but I’d also like to get the earlier Bobcat also, just love those big radials on that “double breasted Cub”. LOL

The only kit of the 310B is the Aurora kit you mentioned. I think it was originally boxed by Comet. They also did the Aero Commander 560, the Piper Apache, and the Cessna 337 that I remember right now. They are on eBay now and then, sometimes $50, sometimes more. The 310 kits never included Penny.

In 1/72, Rug Rat Resins did a very nice Bobcat, which has white metal landing gear and decals for a UC-78 and a Canadian Crane, and has both Jacobs and Lycoming engines. It is very nicely cast and is not cheap. Aircraft in Miniature in England did this one. Pavla did one in 1/72 also, but the fuselage shape is off, too low in profile. There is also a vacform, don’t remember who did it.

You sound as ancient as me m8, I remember those day’s(albeit alittle fuzzily) of Skyking and old popeye toons every sat, morning, and then off to little league practice.[#toast]

search Hannants.co.uk
for Minicraft 1/48 aircraft…
currently listed are Cessna 150 & 172 (float & wheels) Beech Bonanza & Piper Super Cub…
They also have Gremlin 1/72 Cessnas’, but they all look the same to me…[:-^]

Don’t do civvy planes so no idea what exactly you are looking for…

There’s a Cessna 310 on oldmodelkits.com - Sale Pending, though. Price was $150 for a mint-condition kit. You can email them to see if it is still available, though.
