Hey, anyone going to Sun n Fun this year? I’m flying down with my daughter for the latter half of the week, wouldn’t be opposed to meeting up with anyone from the forum.
As for the trip, mostly because (a) it’s an airshow, (b) girl kid wants to go, (c) we won’t be able to make OSH this year, and (d) maybe I can remember to take photos this time (I took remarkably few photos at Oshkosh last year).
Also, this reminds me: I haven’t looked to see if there are any good hobby shops in Lakeland or on the way there from Tampa…

I should go. My wife’s family is in Lakeland.
Now THATS an air show right there. We’ve got the Blue Angels that come to Corpus but it’s a pretty small show overall compared to something like this.
gomeral, sorry to hear that you won’t be able to attend the EAA in Oshkosh. I live about 5 miles from the airport and enjoy the planes overhead every day. I wonder if attendance will be down this year due to the economy.
Girl kid really loved OSH last year and I’d love to take her again, but unfortunately we’re going to have to spend 2 weeks in Hawaii that month. 
(In all seriousness, the wife and I are celebrating 20 years, so we’re taking the kids back to where we eloped.)
I’d really like to make OSH next year, and I’m on a waiting list for one of the RV campsite spots. I’ll have to remember to look you up when we get back, next time girl kid will be old enough that I can finally go do some of the events and classes that I want to do!
@fxsti03-42, if you decide to head out that way, let me know. We’ll be there Wed-Sat.
