Anybody know the quality of this kit?

I was in my local Tesco the other day and saw Revell Germany’s 1/144 MiG 1.44 demonstrator aircraft. I’ve heard good things about that kit and was considering buying it.

Then…

I was walking past the hobby shop near where I’m living and saw a 1/72 kit of the beast by Zvezda. I’d like to have it bigger than 1/144 if I can, but my experiences with Zvezda kits are abysmal to say the least.

I know I might be calling for a longshot here as I’ve never seen that Zvezda kit on North American shelves, but does anyone know about the kit? Is it decent and workable, or just filler for the spares box?

Hmmm…can’t comment on that kit specifically, but Zvezda kits certainly can run the gamut on quality. Why not give it a shot?

As long as the box doesn’t say “Skif” on it, you should be OK!

Yeah, another Eastern european manufacturer with not such a great quality image…

I know the Revell kit is cute, but I would not comment on the Zvezda, 'cause I’ve never seen it…

And to be fair to Skif, they do turn into nice models with a little effort!
It’s just that my modeling muscles are STILL sore from building Skif’s BMP-3…
