Don, have you looked into AutoDesk Fusion 360 ? They have 1 year free license for hobbyist and 3 years for students/educators. https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/fusion-360-for-hobbyists I have a monoprice 3d printer, cheap and great for learning. Can print good small parts, but needs to be cleaned up.
What does it cost after the free year?
Sorry for the late reply. Looks like they have updated their licensing, it’s now free for hobby use - period, no time limit. Even if you make $ from it, as long as revenue is less than $100K, it’s still free.
