Any interest in an armor prototype/rare vehicle group build?

I’m wondering if anyone else would be interested in a group build focusing on WWII armored vehicles that never made it past prototype or were only produced in very small numbers, less than 20.

Some examples would be the Sturer Emil, Jagpanzer IV A-0, Maus, E-100, Sherman Crocodile, Schmall Tiger, Flammtiger, Flammpanzer B1, M10 ersatz, and any others you may want to do.

It would be pretty much as follows:

1/72, 1/48, 1/35 or 1/16, preferably 1/35

Must be a model of a vehicle that a) never made it off the drawing board, b)only a few prototypes were made, or c) were produced in quantities or 20 or less.

Any kits and AM as you desire, scratchbuilding acceptable for some vehicles like Flammtiger II and Sherman Crocodile.

Now until sometime in Spring 2008.

If you expanded it to include models other than WWII, I could be interested in doing a kitbashed Chiorny Oriol that has been waiting for me to actually DO something. :slight_smile:

That would be fine, non-WWII subjects acceptable as well.

You know I had been pondering building on of the US pilot tanks from WWII. I have too many projects started right now to begin something this ambitious. I’d love to join this one, but I must pass. Maybe sometime in the future.

I’ve always thought this was a fascinating area of historical modeling… I just finished a What If Maus supposed to be eastern from, circa late 1945 or early 1946 if the Maus had gone into production… I don’t really have anything else for this GB, but it’s a great idea.

I was thinking about something like this a few weeks ago. I would be eager to participate in a GB on this theme. I’ve already built the Sturer (at the finishing stage now) really enjoyed it.
