Any idea what this glue is?

So I picked up a model last week from a garage sale. Went I had looked at it originally I had thought that some one had tried to use wood glue to put this thing together, it has that yellowish color that wood glue gets. But now that I have looked at it a bit more I am not so sure. Anyone seen anything like this before? I do not want to risk random solvents on this.

Without seeing it, I’m not certain. Could it be Walthers Goo? That stuff, as I recall, dried yellowish and had a sort of rubbery feel to it.

I bought one at a yard sale that was hot glued partially, but it didn’t yellow up. Could be old tube cement.

Thanks for the help guys, I have tried hitting it with Alcohol, and Goof Off, with no noticeable effect, I am going to pick up some other chemicals tomorrow. This stuff is hard. I an not too upset if i cant get this off, I only spent $3 on it so…

Not at all unusual for tube glue. Bonus points for that “non-toxic” citrus-based tube glue that never hardens, which is offered by several manufacturers. [:XX]

It looks like what my hot glue looks like when set.

Wondering if it is the polyurethane type glue used in construction. If it is, you would have to use a grinding tool to get it apart.` Good luck
