Anyone build or see Revell Germany’s 1/144 scale Ruslan Condor??
Eventhough it is 1/144 scale, the model is still fairly big with a fuselage of almost 19" in length and a wingspan of 20".
I’ve always been fascinated with this big bird after seeing one at Gander International Airport (Newfoundland, Canada). I may be mistaken but I think the same bird also overrun the runway at Gander and ended up getting stuck in the mud.

Hmmm, I won’t buy this one. I’ll wait for the 1/48 or 1/32 version to be issued.[:D]
Wingspan would be 1,5 m or 2.3 m. Most likely to be the largest 1/144 kit available.
I hope you have an autobody spray booth to paint your 1/32 of the Antonov[:D][:D][:D][:D]

But think again: there aren’t that many cars that are 2,3 m wide. WIll a ‘normal’ autospraybooth suffice! Man, even in 1/144 it’s larger than any model I’ve ever build. Largest was a 1/72 B2 and C130. They’re dwarfed by this 1/144 giant. When is the An 225 model due? If so…

After doing a search for the Revell An-124, I found a link to another part of the Revell site that says release date will probably be somewhere in the range of August to October.
After seeing some of the prototype pics, I can’t wait to get the real thing…

Clear, but what about it’s big bother the AN 225?
It seems logical to issue this epic plane as well, as the most of the moldings should be the same.
hey, i think this thing has a full interior…as you can see in the middle photo of the last row in the second link of the post…this should be interesting…any other sites with pics? or info?
The 225 looks very similar to the 124 but has 3 engines under each wing and is somewhat larger. It was produced to carry their Buran shuttle like our shuttle is carried on a 747. Since their shuttle program was scrapped shortly after it started, they now have a couple of these monsters looking for something big to haul.

An-225 “Mrya” (Dream) Is the biggest plane ever… I think Russia has only one of them… no need for another one[;)] When it goes across the contry and lands in some mid-way airport they have to delay all other flights due to “Mrya” takes all fuel they have in reserve[:D] It would be nice to have the model of it in 1/48 though[;)] Maybe Trumpter will go for it someday[:D]
