with the pic. the following text :on the left: anti-invation poles on the beach in Blankenberge(Belgium) fotograft by a german pk-fotografer in 1944, on the right: the same consept of beach defence in 1997 in saving private Ryan placed at the beach at Curracloe in Ireland .

Geez Roadkill, I just blew 45 minutes on that site…
still an EXCELLENT movie though!! so realistic…not that i’ve ever been in combat, but the first time i watched the movie, my stomach was sore afterward from being tensed up the whole time. later.
