Anthem 155 Cleaning Question

From Badger Anthem’s manual:

“Another method of cleaning the air brush is back flushing using a closed container such as a jar assembly. Take a soft cloth and cover the spray regulator-depress and pull back on the trigger. This will cause back presssure which induces a bubble action inside the air brush and in the container which helps to clean out the fluid passages.”

Can somebody tell me which part is the pressure regulator?

Wait a minute, I think I got it, found some low quality picture of the part. I understand the spray regulator is the screw-on tip or nozzle that covers the tip of the needle. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this is it.

The spray regulator is the tip of the airbrush. That just means to cover the tip of the airbrush to introduce air back into the color cup to backflush it.

That part you posted is it. [tup]

Can the spray regulator be used to regulate anything? Spray pattern or paint volume?

No, it does not change anything as far as I am aware.
Maybe Ken can step in and tell you why it is called that. [%-)]
