Antennae!

I build 1/48 WW2 aircraft and am really getting into it with panel line washes ,pastel chalk weathering,P.E.,etc,etc,etc.Could some of you good folks give me some good instruction on ways to put antennae “wire” on these aircraft.
I have yet to do it on any of my many models. I have in my work area Fishing monofilament, sprue to stretch(I can do that) and some of that stretchy cord that looks out of scale to me. Now what is the best way to fasten it from one point to the other??? Go slow now. Thanks folks.

'speriment TEISE…
conduct trials…see what works for you

my cuppa tea is stretched sprue for antenna (along with a few other applications)…reason being…i can control its thickness…
application is with CA glue…
apply the sprue length with a little sag in it (much easier and no need to be so precise)…
once the glue cures…snip the excess ends…
strike a match…blow it out and while it’s smok’in and warm…run it under the sprue and voila…
the residual heat sneeks up on the sprue and it shrinks just right…
of course the possibility of the match being too hot is always present…so, 'speriment, 'speriment, 'speriment…
really works great and sure lasts a long time…
best 'o luck to ya…

I prefer “Invisible Thread”. It’s a plastic sewing thread sort of like very fine monofilament fishing line. You can find it in the sewing sections of stores such as Hobby Lobby or perhaps Walmart.

I use invisible thread too. Run it over a black felt tipped pen to simulate the rubber coating.

Thanks Rik,Scott & Jim for your replies.
