Their were basically three aircraft that would fit the profile of an aircraft that had Unique Innovations for it,s time that aided in shipboard stowage. The first one was the Sopwith Cuckoo, a Torpedo Bomber used by the British Royal Naval Air Service. It had only 1 Unique feature though. A foldable wing that aided in shipboard stowage. The second aircraft was the Beardmore W.B iii. It had 2 unique features. A folding wing and a folding undercarriage . These features also aided in shipboard stowage. The 3rd was the " Parnall Panther " This Bi-Plane had no less than 6 unique features for an aircraft of its time. For shipboard stowage the aircrafts fuselage folded in half just aft of the observers seat which aided in stowage. It,s length went from 24 ft 11 in to 14 ft 6 in when folded. #2 The fuselage was bulkheaded. #3 The fuselage was watertight. # 4 It had a hydrovane located in front of the undercarriage to prevent it from flipping over in water landings. # 5 It had 2 airbags on either side of the undercarriage which could be inflated by the pilot for flotation. # 6 The whole undercarriage could be jetttisoned automatically when the airbags were inflated. So while all 3 aircraft had features that aided in stowage the Parnall Panther really had the UNIQUE INNOVATIONS for an aircraft of it,s time. The correct answer will be the " PARNALL PANTHER " No answers deemed correct for this question.
