I picked up a set of AFV Club tracks for my Easy eight sherman a workable T-48 tracks, when I assembly the tracks the end connectors fall off everything is very loose and does not stay together like the set I use on my M48 Please has anybody run it this
The “Workable” part of the name is a joke. They still have to be glued together to keep them from falling apart. Assemble them as shown and then hit the end connectors with a drop of liquid glue to hold it all together.
Hey thanks for the help except that my workable tracks on my M-48 are workable and stay together with out glue but I’ll glue to make them work again thanks
Hi, ran into the same problem. Apparently the M48/M60 tracks were designed by someone else. Actually I think they first appeared a few years before the other M4 Sherman tracks. If you decide to use their M3 Stuart tracks you’ll have to glue them too. Unfortunately if you want a different pattern of sherman track other than what comes in a kit you have to go with AFV or a better choice might be Model Kasten. Seems like my favorite RHPS has gone completely out of business. Rick “Marty” Martin
the M48/m60 tracks did in fact come before the M4 tracks . I just glie them together anyway and saves a lot of trouble .
Hey Cold Steel! I’m new to the forum and this is my first post/reply. I am having the exact same problem with my AFV T-48 track set. The T-51 set I have isn’t as bad and I thought the I just wasted my $$. Then I got the idea to paint just the pins with Mr Surfacer 500 (thin coat). I only tried this on about 10 links so far but it worked pretty well. Maybe this will work for you.
