Got these knocked out this evening, for the NMF II GB.
Both are Hasegawa 1/48.
“Big Beatiful Doll” decals are from Super Scale, flaps are KMC (saving the elevators and rudder for a Tamiya build) and the drop tanks are True Details resin.
The ramjet pony is OOB…no mods…plain and simple. The ramjets are resin and included in the kit.
Big Beautiful Doll is truly beautiful! Very nice work on your entire squadrong of 'Stangs.
And I do have a question for you in looking at the photo of your “stable” - you have a couple of warbirds hanging on the wall but I can’t get the picture big enough to detect how you have them mounted to the wall. Can you share or is that a trade secret?
As far as the trade secret, first, I bore out the wheels and load them with magnetized dust, then I bore out two holes in the wall and CA in a pair of magnets about the diameter of a penny. These magnets should match up with the main wheels. I paint over the magnets, so you can’t see em. Actually, it’s just a bit of fishing line looped around the tail, hung on a tiny finish nail!
Beautiful job rounding up two more Mustangs, Fermis… Especially with Landers’ Doll
Just between you you, me, & the corral gate- Might I suggest a 55th FG Pony? M’ dear sweet pappy flew for that unit and I think they had about the best paint scheme… Plus, I get to play (meaning I I’m a wing-wiper, 1st Class) with THIS one on a semi-regular basis…
Great job on the 'stangs, Fermis! BTW - in the last photo, what is the pilot figure standing on some grass? Is that some ind of kit that’s available - or is it a casting, etc?
