This is one you don’t see every day

Delicately engraved panel lines and rivet detail, crappy decals, some flash and a few sink holes in unobtrusive places. All in all a very interesting kit.
You must get a kit everyday, lol. Cool kit though!
Where do you find these sort of off the wall kits Swanny? Also from the looks of the box art, it looks like it might help to read asian. semper fi, mike
ill just sit in my corner and sulk. you get all the fun.

I’m sure you’ll be able to do it justice, Swanny!
Too bad the decals stink. I have always liked the stylized squadron number 53 that looks like a falcon on the tail. I think it is one of the coolest (showing age again) markings ever.
Yeah, where are you getting all these rare kits from? [;)]
Take care,
Frank
I’ve had my eye on that kit for a long time, but never got it. I bought a Nichimo 1/35 (yes, 1/35) A6M5 Zeke about ten years ago. No cockpit (blocked over with a pilot bust), movable surfaces, and boiler-plate riveting. Glad to hear this kit is better ! Good luck with it. It’s the only one in 1/48.
It’s a very nice kit considering it’s age & all. Aeromaster has issued a few decal sheets for it, but not sure of current availability.
Regards, Rick
can i get on your mailing list[:-^][:D]
That camo job would give me nightmares. . .
I guess I’m showing my age again, but I remember in the early eighties when that kit was considered sort of a Cadillac among models largely because of the surface detailing. It is a contemporary with the Tamiya Zeros and Buffalo, also held in high esteem back in the day (and, I dare say, still are). It was a good purchase, Swanny.
Swanny doesn’t get nightmares from, look at his other camo at
