Another new guy

Sup guys,

I am another new member to the FSM forums and would like to introduce myself. My name is JT and I live in South Carolina. I am 39, married, work too hard, and have two great little boys. [:)] I have been lurking in here for several weeks now, and I have decided to pick up modeling again.

I just want to say that you guys are a wealth of knowledge, and the wikipedia of modeling! I used to build when I was younger, and recently purchased two new kits. (Revell 1/72 He-111 H-6 and a DML 1/72 Do 335) When I was a kid, I would slap them together, put decals on them and call it a day. Now after reading these forums for a few weeks, I know I have a LOT to learn.

As you can see above, I like WWII aircraft. I have chosen 1/72 scale so my wife doesn’t complain, and I can put them all in my office.

So now it’s off to the LHS for an airbrush, compressor, paints, flat lacquer, gloss lacquer, brushes, tools, tape, putty, … and FUTURE. hehe

Welcome to the forums JT!

Welcome to the Forums [#welcome]. Glad you’re here.

[#welcome] JT.

What part of SC are you from ? My Mother was born and lived in Gaffney and I spent a LOT of summers there when I was a kid.

Bud

Bud,

I am currently in Florence. Gaffney is just up I-85 from God’s country. ----> Clemson !!(Go Tigers!) I am further south where I-95 and I-20 meet.

JT

That’s cool and again [#welcome]

Bud

Welcome!! Excellent choice of scale. Not only is it an easy scale to display, but if you ever decide to add WW2 armor to your collection you can use the same scale.
