Another NEW Dragon TigerI (3-n-1)!!!!

Here it is…[;)]

So tell us how its 3in1!!! hehehe

Hmm… I have a sneaky suspecion its about time to toss those Tamiya tigers to the garbage bin…(?) let alone those Italeri’s [xx(]

HOWEVER! do you think the Dragon tiger has the corect turret?
Tamiya has released a new tiger with friulmodel tracks, but for 124$ !!![:(!]
I DONT THINK SO!
I dont mind indy tracks in dragon’s tiger.
and 3 in 1 probably means late (box top) early (guess) and initial (more gussing).
So more extra bogies and two style tracks? and what about those fiefels.
what do you think guys?

I haven’t even bought the King Tiger yet! I might take a look at it, but i think I want to build a Mid-pro someday.

two of its its options might be like the Tamiya late Tiger, late Tiger and final tiger, then the third option could be zimmerit = 3 in 1

I like the zimmerit idea! As long as it looks good.

Don’t care what anyone says. Tamiya’s Tiger I’s are the best on the market hands down. Regardless of price.

Cheers

Mo

Hope the 3-n-1 doesn’t refer to enough decals to build it as one of three different heavy tank battalions!

[:-^] I wish Dragon would do a nice Panzer IV A or D or some of the Panzer II variants. I think I have enough Tigers in my stash. I might get this one if it is truly groundbreaking, otherwise I’m staying with what I have.

Looks interesting! Dragon also has 2 different 251 Hanomag 3 in 1 kits also. A new trend here mabey? I agree with ShModeler ,$124 for a Tamiya!!! I don’t think so![tdn][:O]

if i was tamiya, i’d be getting real worried right now![:)]

i’d like to meet the marketing genius that decided on the $120+ price tag for the friul tracked version…it’s kind of insulting really[:(!][:(!][:(!]

a shame, because basically i like their stuff.[V]

With so much competiton, Mr. Tamiya is pricing himself right out of business in 1/35.

This latest salvo over the future of 1/35 proves that Dragon means business IMHO and are able to offer good kits at competitive prices AND include a lot of extras like aluminum barrels and PE that otherwise you’d have to go out AM and spend $$$ on. I’d much rather spend $25-30 on a kit that includes these amenities and options instead of pay $40+ for a kit and turn around and pay another $30 for tracks, $30 for PE, etc. Some may have more substantial resources available to them, but my modelling budget usually is pretty thin and I don’t have a huge stash either, which means I’m much more open to these types of changes and will likely be adding this one to my list of future acquisitions. ANOTHER Tiger kit? Geez, is this all you people build?
[:D] j/k
Just seems that there are too many of these out there…

Well… I guess it’s that tiger flu that never let go.[;)]

Well, moses or is it Moshe([8D]?). You right about the quality, they are fantastic! yes they might be better then dragon.
I’m glad for you, you can afford them. 124$ for me is very steep, and that’s a shame cause detail like correct turret is very important to me, and frankly I did’nt know about this problem before. Now obviosley its somthing to consider and I hope Dragon have it in thier hands for us.
I hope I would have enough budget to enjoy both Tamyia and Dragon. Maybe one day…

Hey, you can NEVER have too many Tigers…[;)]

IMHO, The Tamiya Tigers are still the standard we all build by… The new Tamiya Tiger is just a “special” deal that wasn’t so special, and I think Tamiya has probably figured that out…[xx(]

I can’t answer why this is a 3-n-1… Because ALL late TigerI’s had zimmerit and making three different variations might be tricky…
Who knows, possibly Dragon is offering a Sturmtiger option, a Bergtiger option and the standard Tiger I ??? I guess we will learn later when Dragon posts additional info.[:p]
