Another Mini-Mustang

Here we go again.

1/144th P-51 “Big Beautiful Doll” Once againI have to say…what really great kits these are. Great fit and the decals are remarkable. The nose checkerboard is 3 pieces that includes the anti-galre panel… and fit perfect. the green is a bit off but it was better than trying to mask. The wingtip checkers are one peice each… top, bottom and star&bar. The flaps were cut out and new ones scratched and dropped. The right side exhaust tweezer-pulted into oblivion and a new one was scratched… the manifold is 1/4 inch with 1/16 inch “pipes” made from with really thin wire.

OK …Time to drag out that really giant penny so you think the modle is really small[:-^]

What can I say, Marc? You’ve done it again, and it looks incredible! I just checked out my Academy 1/72 'stang and thought THAT was small, then tried to visualize every part in that kit half its actual size, shook my head, and thought “How the [censored] does he do that!?”

im just finishing up an academy 1/72 stang they are great little kits. I dont know i could work any smaller tho. the skill involved in those little 1/144 guys just blow my mind

My new favorite phrase.

Looks really nice, Marc!

Model is really small , nice [:)]

If that was 1/32 I’d say - it’s OK…but in 1/144, that’s bloody fantastic.
Man, that Optivisor must have gotten a serious workout…
Nice one, mate.

Blimey! Quite remarkable indeed. [tup]

I couldn’t make that checkerboard decal work in 48th scale…

Great work- that is a great looking model!

Marc, my only critique would be that you should have used more appropriate decals…the ones for “Small Beautiful Doll”. What a great looking Musting in any scale. The NMF looks top notch from the pics, too.

[(-D]

Marc, I gotta agree with the others. Very nice work. I think you’re becomming one of the marquee builders here. You just keep amazing us!

Thanks everyone… I really appreciate that comments.

Lee… you are right… I had the Optivisor on for so long yesterday there was band across my forehead for a while after I took it off.

Sheesh Marc! I really don’t know how you do it. I know you’re an old f$%t like me and the eyes?..well let’s say they ain’t what they used to be. Truly impressive work my friend especially in that scale. Looks like 1/48 or at least 1/72. Love it!!

Jerry

Looking at your work, I guess size doesn’t really matter. [:-^] If you didn’t specifiy the scale of it, I would not have known that it is 1/144 scale.

It just being St.Patty’s Day an’ all, didja by any chance have the wee fairies to help you out now, sure?

Wow. [#toast]

Wow! Another amazing 'stang. I really don’t know how you do it…

But, I do know what you mean about the optivisor. I wear one all day long at work, take it off to drive home (VERY important!) and put one back on at home to work on models. Makes me eyes a little weird…

Looks great from here. I don’t know who you guys work on stuff that small. I rarely drop down as far as 1/72 But my builds at that scale are no where as good as yours in 1//144. Nice work wingnut.

I dunno how you do it. If I tried that, I’d probably sneeze it right off my workbench. Great job, looks excellent!

Looks great !! Who makes these kits anyway? I might have to pick one up.

Man! that thing looks beautiful! Since I saw your builds of the mustangs and the FW-190, I’ve been wanting to try one of those kits.

Remarkable again. there is so much potential in this scale and you do it so well.

Dave- These are the Platz kits. Available from Hobby Link Japan. 2 kits in a box, in a couple different boxings with several decal options.
